To visit the Capitol in Washington must access the new Visitor Center, recently enabled a large area, free entrance, where there is a showroom you can visit without any reservation.

The Capitol Visitor Center has a large size, because its surface is three-quarters of the Capitol building itself. It is located underground on the east side of the great legislative building.

In the Capitol Visitor Center, open from Monday to Saturday, from 8.30 to 16.30 hours, you can even sign up for guided tours that allow you to delve into certain aspects of the history of this historic building in Washington.

For example, you can join a guided tour of the exhibition hall which takes about 20 minutes and taking place every day at 10, 11, 14 and 15 hours. Or sign up for specific themed tours, such as the so-called “The Capitol and the Congress during the Civil War,” which takes about 40 minutes
