History in Indiana State Museum
Indiana State Museum is located in White River State Park in Indianapolis, Indiana state capital. This museum is home to many exhibits showing the history of this state from prehistoric times to the present, there is also one of four IMAX theaters that are in Indiana.
This museum is about Indiana in every way, even in the material on which it was built. This building is made of materials from this state include limestone, steel, glass, sandstone, brick and wrought aluminum. That is why this building is not only home to several libraries and inside, but is in itself an entire exhibition.
Indiana State Museum also brings to this state the best of other museums in the world with a variety of temporary exhibitions. So Ford Gallery, the NiSource and Temporary Exhibition Gallery show collections of science, art and culture of both the state and around the world.
One of the favorite places for tourists is the Legacy Theatre offers an experience for African American and see the history of this mixture in the state. There are shows, plays and exhibitions of artifacts, historical texts, images and interactive videos that provide a cultural experience of black heritage in Indiana since the early 1800s to the present.
