Culture in Bamberg
Culture is an essential piece of life in Bamberg. The city has a large number of first-class theaters, fifteen museums and various attractive collections.
In Bamberg the exquisite collection of glazed ceramic pottery and porcelain Ludwig Collection, which is exposed in the old baroque town hall. The city is also home to the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, a band famous and extraordinary Bamberg gives the name of “center of the music. ” Many churches also dominate the city, the most visited Imperial Cathedral “Kaiserdom. ” Within it you will find great treasures, sculptures and the famous Altar of Santa Maria.
Another important part of the culture of Bamberg is beer. Many people visit the city to try the famous smoked beer “served in the beer gardens. In the past, beer was stored in the “Bierkeller”(literally, the basement of the beer), to maintain a constant temperature. This tradition still survives today. In summer, the citizens of Bamberg and visitors enjoy the first barrel of beer. In Bamberg you can also find the Museum of Brewing, which displays many historical machines and houses in Malta. Bamberg has nine breweries, which produce over 60 different beers and two large breweries, and Bamberger Mälzerei Weyermann Malz.
