cologneCologne is the oldest city in Germany and, until the nineteenth century, the most magnificent, a state that is still reflected in the capitals that make up its skyline and its magnificent cathedral, or Dom Cologne, like most areas of Germany, has its own local dialect of German.

Like other cities in Germany, Cologne was bombed during the Second World War. All buildings in the Altstadt, or historic center were damaged, and its reconstruction process discovered a period of colonial history hidden for centuries. These tests showed that Cologne was an important city during the Christian era.

In Cologne, there’s plenty to see, from old Roman towers to the modern opera building. Gradually, Cologne has become a major art capital of Germany. Cologne has plenty to show visitors: magnificent architectural buildings, splendid museums, impressive theaters and concerts, excellent dance clubs and huge shopping malls. If that was not enough, the city has great food and beer among its specialties.

In fact, Cologne is one of the most attractive dining in Germany. From veteran breweries offering typical Cologne beer, Kölsch, a first-class restaurants, to more than 3,000 pubs, restaurants and pubs, the city has everything ready to fill the appetite of the visitor.
