Tomar (Portugal)
As we already saw with Albufeira and the beaches of Portugal, on this occasion will travel to another region of Portugal, and is that it is Tomar, a small town located near the Nabão River (tributary of Rio Zêzere), belonging to the province of Santarém, Portugal.
It’s an ancient city, which hosted the first Templar, so it has significant historical value. It has an area of 351 km2 and 41.537 inhabitants.
If we speak of a sediment of its history, Tomar was occupied by the Knights Templar in year 1159. With the extinction of the Templar order in 1312, by a decision of the Pope, was founded there the order military of Christ, due to the need to defend its borders. Working in Berlin
